Klockenhagen -- Strassen Farmhouse

This is a typical hall that would have belonged to a farmer of the southwest region of Mecklenburg. It has a representative gable. This building was constructed in 1671 in Strassen, a rural district of Ludwigslust. It was employed as living quarters for farmers and housed their retired parents as well. From 1914-1978 it was used as a building for labor.

Construction - Two half-timbered building, clay noggings, plastered west gable with brick noggings, thatched roof or rush.

Flett-House - No direct gangway or throughway for vehicles. The vestibule ends in a room (Flett), in which the hearths and the side exits are located. Behind them the living quarters can be found.

Main House - Living and working quarters, keeping of animals, storage of harvested goods all under one roof.

Smoke House - No chimney is present.
